Not the most surprising, but my favourite primetime swearing story is the one from TFI Friday with Shaun Ryder. He was swearing so incesently and Chris Evans was so desperate to calm him down he took off his shoes, put them on the table and said "if you stop swearing you can have these" to which Shaun replied "those are some really fucking nice shoes".

I just checked up my story on that and found out that he's banned from appearing on Channel 4 at all.

I don't think what she said was a big deal. She is a comedian and well known for her blunt opinions. It's her thing. I do think Russell has a stick up his ass. If people are so concerned about it then they shouldn't book her.

And, in all reality, she is a smart business woman and worth a shit load of money...so she must be doing something right.

To be honest, I'd be surprised if Loose Women was bothered. Probably figured it'll be good publicity for the show. I mean, obviously they have to chuck her off for the effect to really work - if she says something shocking and they just laugh it off, it's not shocking anymore, it's just bleh. That's the last thing they want.

Agreed - they knew exactly what they would get with Joan Rivers. Would you interview her and not expect her to be outrageous? They were counting on her swearing and calling attention to their show.
