Yeah.
She talks a lot like the people she is around as well. Hears her mum say "oh God I'm so flaky I just got lost in Prada" or whatever so says it as well.
Not all 15 year olds are shallow. I mean I wasn't that shallow, I was into causes and culture instead of shoes, but if someone had sat me down and interviewed me I probably would have sounded egotistical as well.
15 year olds are trying to figure themselves out and spend a lot of time thinking about who they are and how they come across, so end up sounding a bit self absorbed.
But then of course her mum never moved on from that stage...
