| | | Do male celebrities have more privacy? I don't see many repeated harrassers of male celebrities unless they are with a female like Angelina and Brad.
So what is it about rich famous women that the press become stalkers and never leave them alone? Is it misogyny? Women are percieved as easy targets?
Is it because the public wants to see more women being followed than men? |

| | | I've read somewhere that pictures of women sell better than men. That's why there's always a cover picture of a woman in both men's and women's magazines. |

| | | I see the gossip magazine industry as a worldwide version of classic female gossip and I think women naturally gossip about other women more than men. As a result, the paparrazzi perfers women because gossip magazines really are targetted at women. |

Is it because the public wants to see more women being followed than men? | Easy there, Kathleen Hanna. Before you go re-capitulating some tired "male gaze" or "media as male stalker" cliche, might I remind you that woman are the prime consumers of gossipy celebrity shit. Your average female identifies more readily with Lindsay Lohan than Owen Wilson. Consequently the magazines are going to cover stories about the lame-o chicks you all seem to identify with/worship/enjoy-tearing-apart.
Most guys (homosexuals and the british excluded) don`t give a fuck about celebrities, unless they are athletes. |

| | | I'd prefer to see more evidence of men going out without underpants on, so long as it isn't Chris Crocker.

| | | A male celeb is a lot more likely to clock someone if they're pissed. A female is more likely to become frightened and not know how to react. I'm pretty sure the paparazzi know that.
