Courtney Love has wielded her status as executive producer on the new Kurt Cobain bio-pic by personally asking Hollywood beauty Scarlett Johansson to play her on the big screen.
The Nirvana frontman's widow has sent Scarlett a contract for the part after deciding she was perfect to play her in new film 'Heavier Than Hell', despite other actresses being linked to the part.
A source tells The Mirror, "Kirsten Dunst was rumoured to be in the frame, but Courtney really admires Scarlett and has already sent the contract out for her to sign.
"This is a labour of love for Courtney and she is putting her heart and soul into making it an accurate, credible glimpse of her life with Kurt."
According to the report the former Hole frontwoman wants Ryan Gosling to play Cobain, who committed suicide in 1994 at the height of his fame.

Ya know, when I saw this piece I was amused that Courtney thinks Scarlett looks like her. But I really think Scarlett can pull this off. I've never seen her fail in a role. She's always spot on. She's probably the best choice out of the latest girls. So when this movie plays and Scarlett gets her Oscar, we'll all be humbled because Courtney chose her.

Then it doesn't make sense to pick someone who is naturally pretty with big boobs. This story has to be fake.

You've gotta keep in mind this movie is gonna be marketed toward a group comprised of people who weren't around when this shit really happened. Nobody under 22 is gonna know the difference.

I thought this movie was just a total rumor. I really doubt it's going to happen. Did Scarlett even want the role?
I honestly thought Courtney would eventually insist on playing the role herself. And I stand by that. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if she decided to play herself.
