Abdul Allegedly Breaks Down at Airport

(Jan. 9) - It wouldn't be January without 'American Idol' and it wouldn't be 'Idol' season without a Paula Abdul meltdown.

According to Radar, the reality show judge, who is prone to wacky antics, incoherent interviews and nonsensical speeches, threw a fit in the middle of Los Angeles International Airport over the holidays.

A source tells the Web site, "She had an insane nervous breakdown that lasted 10 minutes. One minute she was hyperventilating and on the verge of passing out; the next she was yelling into her cell phone in this deep, rage-filled Poltergeist voice."

"She kept screaming three names over and over -- Michael, Sidney, and Leslie. Everyone was staring at her, but she didn't care," the source adds.

Last year, Abdul exhibited bizarre behavior during interviews with local television stations. Eventually, videos of the incidents made their way to the Internet, which had many questioning whether the 'Straight Up' singer was drunk at the time.

But Abdul denied those accusations. ""I've never been drunk," she told US Weekly last February.

However, her actions on 'Idol' and her reality show 'Hey Paula' continue to fuel speculation about her sorbriety.

Was it just me or was her speech ALWAYS slurred on that show??

What's her deal? Booze? Pillz? Such a shame, she was super cool like 20 years ago.
