I can't much stand JRM, but it's an entertaining show.

i dont know, i quite like him, but anything ive seen him in as a lead, which is pretty much limited to gormenghast and the tudors, he just tends to have one style of acting which is intensity bordering on madness. still good tho

I think this is Showtime's reaction to Rome and it's lame as fuck.

I tried watching it and I couldn't stand the prepotence of Rhys' performance and just turned it off, and the clothes, they looked really cheap.

Also it's completely erroneous, but in a bad way.

but on the adverts for it, the main guy who was doing all the shouting ("these are just causes for wwaaaaar!") was soooooo hhhhhot

ditto.

I know some people love him, and I am sure he has some redeeming features, but after watching Velvet Goldmine, Bend it like Beckham and Titus he was lost to me. He comes across to me as weak and insipid.

You know what would be hot????? if they forget about porcine Hnery and JRM prepotent delivery and they make a show that revolves around Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn and the rest of his wifes.

It's ironic, the most i9mportant period of british history was defined by women.

by the way, Catherine of Aragon is hot but why is she in the background?? she is more itneresting than Henry.

it's the only conclusion, most of Henry's "big deeds" happened because of the cathalysts that were Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn, and the fate of England's official religion was settled by his daughters Mary I and Elizabeth I.

And it's ironic because his whole life was consumed by the desire of having a male heir who in the end was inconsequential, and everything was done by his daughters

that would be nice but the thing is, it's a bad show because Rome was not accurate at all but it was entertaining.

And why the fuck is it called The Tudors?? it should be called Henry VIII, because I don't see Henry dying anytime soon and us getting to see Elizabeth and stuff.

I think that is the problem, while Rome revolved around the birth of an empire, The Tudors is about one really annoying macho man, and it's not very appealing.

do you remember the episode when he faught the french king and he lost?? I thought it wa s so pathetic. Why is it interesting?? a narcissistic man child looking out to satisfy his larger than life ego. Why are those The Aviator type of stories so appealing to people??? they have like no depth and are a bore.

Jonathan rhys myers puts me off anything, his acting style is just a constant look of a petulant child and hasn't advanced much since when he was steerpike in gormenghast.

Bollocks. Sometimes I just want a bit of eye candy, and this is delivering in spades, thank you very much.
