| | | i dont know, i quite like him, but anything ive seen him in as a lead, which is pretty much limited to gormenghast and the tudors, he just tends to have one style of acting which is intensity bordering on madness. still good tho |

| | | I think this is Showtime's reaction to Rome and it's lame as fuck.
I tried watching it and I couldn't stand the prepotence of Rhys' performance and just turned it off, and the clothes, they looked really cheap.
Also it's completely erroneous, but in a bad way. |

| | | and LOL at how much JRM doesn't look like Henry VIII.
You know what would be hot????? if they forget about porcine Hnery and JRM prepotent delivery and they make a show that revolves around Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn and the rest of his wifes.
It's ironic, the most i9mportant period of british history was defined by women. |

Of course you see it that way. You are physically and mentally incapable of coming to any other conclusion. | it's the only conclusion, most of Henry's "big deeds" happened because of the cathalysts that were Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn, and the fate of England's official religion was settled by his daughters Mary I and Elizabeth I.
And it's ironic because his whole life was consumed by the desire of having a male heir who in the end was inconsequential, and everything was done by his daughters |

And why the fuck is it called The Tudors?? it should be called Henry VIII, because I don't see Henry dying anytime soon and us getting to see Elizabeth and stuff. |

| | | I think that is the problem, while Rome revolved around the birth of an empire, The Tudors is about one really annoying macho man, and it's not very appealing. |

| | | do you remember the episode when he faught the french king and he lost?? I thought it wa s so pathetic. Why is it interesting?? a narcissistic man child looking out to satisfy his larger than life ego. Why are those The Aviator type of stories so appealing to people??? they have like no depth and are a bore. |
