Lawyer Warns Love To Stop Blasting Coogan Over Wilson Suicide Attempt

Steve Coogan's lawyer has written to the Brit's former girlfriend Courtney Love warning her to stop blaming the comedian for actor Owen Wilson's troubles -- or face legal action.

Last week, Love claimed Coogan's alleged past drug use was a negative influence on Wilson and was partly to blame for Wilson's alleged suicide attempt on August 26.

She said, "I tried to warn Owen (about Coogan) ... I hope from the bottom of my heart that Owen stays the hell away from that guy."
Coogan responded by threatening legal action and, in a letter dated August 31, his attorney has now made his concerns official, insisting the two actors "have never used drugs together" and that Coogan is "concerned about Mr. Wilson."

Referring to Love, the lawyer adds, "Your purported concern seems much less likely than your apparent interest in publicly maligning (former boyfriend Coogan)."

This is true, but just wait until she does foolishly responds. Maybe then Coogan could sue.. which would make a nice change from her suing everyone else.
