I never said Marylin was perfect; who is? She is so iconic because of her human flaws as well as her beauty. However, they do not render her trashy, as they seem to have done with Paris. In my opinion at least, she retained her class and beauty through it all. Marylin is pop culture's ideal and its muse, even nowadays. Leeches like Paris Hilton are merely a product of its corruption.
And as if vintage Playboy centrefolds are as slutty as the ones nowadays! Look at them! It's just breasts and a playful wink in the 50's, not plastic and spreadeagled as they are now.
I know she had the affairs but what movie star isn't involved in some scandal from time to time? At least she wasn't as downright stupid as Paris Hilton. And she would never have the audacity, the arrogance and the self-indulgence to bury her pet goat next to an icon. Hideous.
