| | | Back in the day: I was a youngster teen living in Morris County, NJ.
The YACHT CLUB was THE gay bar to go to. It was a high class, "no tell" dance club out in the middle of nowhere... an expensive nowhere, though.
Whitney Houston had a house in Mendham, NJ... Google the area, you'll see it's very expensive. Mike Tyson and Robin Givens had a house in Bedminster, next town over. Eddie Murphy also had a mansion in NJ at the time.
And I was a huge fag hag. Most of my friends, if they weren't groupie metal girls, were gay guys... young, hot gay guys who had "daddies" who would take them (and me) to The Yacht Club (fake IDs, baby)... AT&T was a mecca for gay male executives with shitloads of money and BMWs to let their teenage boyfriends drive to school!!!
SO. Yes. One of my bestest friends at the time (a totally beautiful guy named Michael) on more than one occasion, danced with Eddie Murphy, and also hung out with Whitney Huston and her girlfriend (pre-Bobby... although I think she's still even now one of her "personal assistants"). Whitney's parents were very religious and she was raised to be a "good girl", so she stayed in the closet. Eddie was just a slut, from all accounts, would do anyone, but he did prefer the more feminine of the male species (passing drags, trannys, and very butch boys who no one who didn't know were guy thought were straight).
Also: one of my lesbian friends, for years, went to The Yacht Club and any night Whitney was there I got a FULL REPORT. I think she kind of had a thing for her...
As for Melanie: I have read in the past she swings both ways. And I say... cool. She's very succulent. I hope she gets a ton of money out of old closetboy. It's weird: "Raw" was on Bravo last night... no straight man would wear LAVENDER LEATHER. Dead giveaway. And the gay jokes? A little too informed, yes? For a "straight man", he knows a helluva lot about gay nightclubbing and behavior.

| | | I lived it seedy as a teen.
One of these days, I'm going to write a screenplay about my teenage years.
They were a BLAST. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
