MADONNA is following in hubby GUY RITCHIE’s footsteps by directing a movie.

She starts filming low-budget comedy Filth and Wisdom in London this month.

Her last film role was in Swept Away, directed by Guy, 38 — which was slated.

An insider said: “Madonna has Guy’s full support. She told him, ‘Anything you can do, I can do better, honey.’”

Madonna, 48, flew back from Malawi to Britain yesterday after learning she must wait MONTHS to adopt a girl.

She took home DAVID BANDA, 18 months, after a quick adoption last year.

Gross me out. The movie should be retitled Filth and Filth.

I think she can pull it off as a director. Everything she does is directed by HER so it's not like she doesn't have a great artistic vision, because she does.

I'm glad she said she's quitting acting because seriously, how lame. She has a horrible body of actress work. Dreadful.

Aside from Susan, Breathless Mahoney and Evita, everything has been bad.

I think it's ironic, that must be horrible for her not to be able to be good at something. If there is someone she must envy it has to be Cher and her Oscar.

Is she going to direct a documentary about Malawi? I liked those photos of her and her kids visiting Malawi..so sweet.

I bet a lot of actresses want to direct, but hollywood is male driven. Not that many females in charge..

I really don't know enough about her to say I like or dislike her. I think she made good pop music back in the 80s and early 90s, and some of her new stuff has been pretty good as well. She's a great businesswoman. Gotta give her that.

But, she's obviously an awful actress. Who knows what she'll do behind the camera...

i dont hate madonna, really. but guy was a brilliant director before meeting her, and thats something i will never forgive.

now the madonna haters are really starting to annoy me almost as much as the courtney haters. i actually think madonna is not a bad actress at all and everything she does she does with such passion,precission,depth,and is well thought out not to mention marvelous. she constantly tries new things and is like a magician she reinvents constantly and keeps you coming back for more and keeps you guessing on the edge of your seat with anticipation for what she will do next. i think her next project non music after this one should be a book of photographs of people and places all over the world which she has snapped over the years with her cameras. she is a true strong leader and is dedicated and motivated and no one gives more effort into everything they touch.long live madonna. hopefully after this new hip hopish cd comes out next album she will work with the likes of bono,chris martin,linda perry,liam gallagher,butch vig,and pj harvey. i hope her new album is more like gwens then nelly furtados i honestly think she can outdo gwens hip hop stuff which is to die for good.
