my theory is that since her 2nd album, called Folklore, tanked because it was 'original' and 'creative', her record company threatened to drop her if she didn't do something that would sell. hence timbaland, booty beats, slutty album title (Loose) and songs in Spanish instead of her native Portuguese (probably the most dissapointing factor for me, because i adore music sung in Portuguese).

That album contained some of her best work. Too bad it missed the 1997 Lillith Fair wagon.

I dont actually like JT but I think FutureSex/LoveSounds IS an amazing record. I bought it for my sister for her bday and she got it off someone else, so I kept the copy I bought her. I listened to it, and actually like it. Jt is not and never will be another Prince, so maybe the comparisons aren't very valid.

Rick Rubin produced the song "(Another Song) All Over Again". So JT maybe could get a LITTLE credit for that.
