He is fucking rank. I have issues about Pete. On one hand, I'm a loyal Libertine lover. For about five minutes a few years ago they were amazing. The best there was in that field of music. Babyshambles were a bit rubbish, to be honest. But I bought the album anyway.

But then on the other hand I think WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?!

I hate it when the media puts out "bad role model" messages, but he does glamourize drugs. Kids adore him, and I'm not saying it's misplaced adoration when it comes to his music, but they don't seem to realise that he doesn't represent a true junkie or the addict lifestyle. It's not okay to conduct your life in that state. In fact, it's nigh impossible. He only gets away with it because he doesn't have a 9 to 5 job.

I'm also convinced he sees working class, or poor if you like, people through rose tinted glasses, as if there is a certain charm to living hand to mouth. But unlike some of the real poor kids who buy his records because they consider his lyrics poignant and relevant to their lives, he will always have the safety net of a wealthy family and circle of friends. He needs to grow up. And wash, for fucks sake.

Agreed. I mean I felt kind of sorry for him at first when he got arrested for robbing Carl's flat and put into prison etc etc. But he constantly seems to be glamourising this junkie lifestyle. I just irks me for some reason, you happened to hit the nail on the head with that statement.
