24 year old Korean actress, Hye-jeong Kang, better known to many as Mi-do from the film Oldboy had facial surgery. Mind you, I read about this before, but now there's photographic proof. She had stated before that she felt she was "horse-faced" and so she had work done on her face, primarily on her jawline and lips. A Korean fan of hers told me that it has also completely altered her speech and diction.

Such surgery is common with actresses in Korea and China, unfortunately. That, and eyelid surgery for larger eyes.

I was wondering the same thing, though going by the looks of her before photos, she might have had that done long before this new surgery.

And as I told my dad, it looks like Dae-su took that hammer to her face.

It's certainly no improvement. So she's not on the level of Mickey Rourke/Courtney Love plastic surgery nightmare, but her face was unique and lovely and she made herself look extremely plain. And for what? Why purposely take away naturally full lips and beautiful bone structure?

So in my opinion, and that of her fans, she ruined her face.

i think it's cuz shes smiling in the second set of pics and not in any of the first, but i can't see the difference. it looks like it could be lighting and angle...tho the jaw does look more distinct...is it the nose too!??! i want a side by side of the same face expression.
