Seriously? OMG! WTF? » Tom Cruise does Hitler

Tom Cruise is set to star in a movie about an assassination attempt on Adolph Hitler. Cruise initially turned down the role, but ultimately decided to do it. The Reuters story only mentioned that he will be playing central role in the movie, but not what part. I think slap a Hitler mustache on him and can't you see playing Hitler?

Production begins this summer on the untitled Bryan Singer directed film that Tom Cruise's United Artists acquired last week.

My question is, why should we beat a dead horse about Hitler? Maybe there are some Holocaust survivors who DON'T want to see/hear about a Hitler movie? I seriously doubt Tom Cruise would be all sensitive about a project like this, given his general attitude for any people with weaknesses (postpartum depression, anyone?) and his fondness for staying in Mussolini's old bunker.

i find it amusing that tom won't assosciate himself (or katie) with movies that deal with drugs or alcohol, but nazi's...hellz yeah.
