Big deal! And why is "strict" being posed as a negative? These are perfectly reasonable guidelines.

I really don't think they're very reasonable. Why should students not be allowed to email or use their phone AFTER they're done with their regular school day? They didn't sign up for prison. Jeez. And also with the whole two weeks in advance parents thing...a little high handed. Though I imagine it's to help with those parents that would visit lots and lots...therefore not letting go...

i think it's alright minus the stupid email rule & the limited number of visitors

I guess I am just looking at it as if I were a student who had this great opportunity, I would totally not mind only having those privileges on weekends. I'm sure the curriculum is demanding. But then there is no response from the school as to the truth or falsehood about the phone/email thing, or the visit policy... which just seems practical, they would need to plan for disruptions since probably it is a very structured environment. Also maybe because the school and the girls were so publicized, they need to take extra protective measures.
