I know, he's an asshole, but still, if the kids at the party saw him drink and snort cocaine, why did they let their friends get in the car with him?
Why the hell didn't someone stand up and say, "Dude, you shouldn't be driving AT ALL, and you sure as hell aren't taking my friends with you!"
I once got in a car with a drunk when I was like 5 or 6, and we almost crashed into a tree.
My parents didn't know I was in the car with him, they wouldn't have let me.
Once my mom told me that story, I always watched out for my friends, I even took a guys car keys away from him because he wanted to drive drunk.
I took some shit for it when I did it, but the next day when he came to get his keys, he thanked me.
I don't understand why everyone at that party watched Lane trash himself and never took action.
Not saying it wasn't his fault, but they hold some responsibility too IMO.
