I've been seething over British actors doing American accents mainly because I can tell immediately they're all totally crap.

Me being British shouldn't make a difference...

Christian Bale's yank accent makes me want to kick his teeth down his throat...

Hugh Laurie's yank accent makes me want to bitch-slap him across the chops...

Tim Roth's yank accent makes me want to dress him in women's clothes and send him to a gay bar...

Lapaglia's yank accent is decent... I must admit I didn't know he was from Oz.

It doesn't matter whether Melissa George does a good one... I had a crush on her from 15 years back when she was in Neighbours.

Isla Fisher's yank accent is quite good... she's another hunny!

Toni Collete's yank accent is admirable.

Hugh Jackman's isn't at all bad.. very convincing...

Guy Pearce's accent could be believable if he didn't try too hard.

Tom Wilkinson's yank accent SUCKS... see with him he has the same problem I used to have - could only talk like a yank in a low voice... he thinks coz he talks at a low voice level that people won't hear his accent sucks..

What REALLLY pisses me off is I've been living in Canada for five years, and about as much of a Londoner as anyone could be... yet I have all these fucktards here asking me 'ahhh your accent is soooooo hot... are you australian or British?'... then when I went back to London 2years ago I had my own family telling me I sounded Australian... course the accent worked on hunneyz back in London.

I can do an American accent quite convincely.. and had to put it to the test quite a few times when I crossed the border into Yankland for a powwow in Minnesota.

oh yeah...

i never heard the term 'poshtard' for someone who loves hot tea with milk in a cup HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

guess that would make me a poshtard... although i'm about as far from posh as anyone could ever get.

Being American myself, I am convinced by Brian's accent. I watched Red Eye merely because he was in it and he did not disappoint.

And not that you care to know, but Brian is also my favorite Hannibal Lector.


Seeing him in a dress would make me love him more.
