kidman annoys me when she gets into this breathy delivery. wtf. i'm like shut up, bitch. you're not jennifer tilly. i just wanna slap her. tom cruise is just weird although he's okay in most of his roles. that said, the film is kind of unbearable, something that one sees in installments because it just lurches to some pointless anti climax, with pointless anti conflicts and sporadic marital strife which can be kind of interesting, the bedroom scene was okay.

I don't consider Eyes Wide Shut a Kubrick film really, since he passed away before he finished editting it..you don't know but Cruise and Speilberg probably messed around with the final edit.

I do think it was brilliant to use an actual married couple in the movie. Kubrick probably had no idea Cruise and Kidman were so boring..the movie was boring.
He probably held back when he realized that he was dealing with scientology freaks, they whole cult would come after him. Pass...

Out of this post, I really only agree with the part about them being BORING. Good LORD, they are the most BORING married couple I've ever SEEN.

I'm an intern at Paramount and negotiations are underway for the ultimate Cruise/Kidman collection dvd box set (not really). You'd be surprised just how much they're still milking that old fag for all it's worth after showing him the door. 15 different Cruise boxes and then sum on sale currently.
