Arrow Denmark Hates Madonna!

Quote:
The Danish media overnight slammed US pop diva Madonna for giving an open-air concert that was nothing more than a "music video", saying it was a "scandal" that many of the 85,000 spectators could not see their idol.

"It was almost a relief when Madonna tripped in her last song and dropped the microphone on the enormous stage. It was in fact the only moment during her show in Horsens that you could tell it was a real live person on stage, and not just an open-air music video," newspaper Berlingske Tidende wrote.

Tabloid Ekstra Bladet was even harsher in its criticism, qualifying the performance — Madonna's first ever in Denmark — as a "scandal".

lets talk about this.

the person that the article came from obviously didnt see the show live. not that i think everyone will rave about it, but c'mon.... Madonna puts on a show like no other. you at least have to give her that.

AND, theyre most likely some religious freak that has been offended by 'THE CROSS'. whatever.

lets hear from the rest of the 85,000 people..... im sure their opinion will be VASTLY different, hahaha.

i was clinging to the railing next to the catwalk.... so yes (real front row wasnt the best seat in the house... first of all, the main stage was REALLY high and second, she spent over half the show on the catwalk..... i could see the Chanel logo on the bottom of her shoes, thats how close i was).

oh, and that term was coined at the second show i attended. thats where it started.... some guy that won the MTV contest.

obviously blond ambition is in a league of its own.

but. how does confessions stack up against the other two?

i didn't get to see it so i just want to get a feel for it.

i saw the docu & have the live cd from reinvention so i sort of have an idea of how it went.

i thought drowned world was awful. i had to force myself to sit through it when it was on hbo.

nothing compares to seeing her shows live and in person...... that said, i like all three for completely different reasons.

Drowned World was dark and artsy.... and she stripped out almost all of the "hits" so it was all about the imagery. my fave performance of Frozen is on that tour. amazing.

Re-Invention was her giving the people what they wanted.... mostly. hit after hit after hit. the opening to that tour is still my ALL TIME favorite. the screens that show the steven klein images were MASSIVE. i was sitting there, looking straight up, in complete awe at what was happening. theres a couple numbers in that tour i could do without... cough*american life*cough... but overall it was awesome.

Confessions was just fun. it starts out a little dark with all the S&M horse stuff.... which i liked...... but by the second song, its a huge party. she interacted a bit more with the crowd on this one too, so it seemed more "personal" (even tho its totally scripted). and altho a lot of the hits arent there, you dont even really notice.
