| | | Help me with Danish! - I still need you for text translations! My first thread was deleted, but I'm still looking for help to translate a text I have in Danish. I'm French but you can translate it in English, that's pretty much the same for me and I will certainly understand it more than in Danish anyway. Thanks a lot in advance!

Nye regler for statsborgerskab.

| | Okay here we go
"New Rules for citizenship (aint that what its called?)
The government and the Danish Peoples Party have changed the rules for getting Danish citizenship.
In the beginning of december, the government and the Danish Peoples Party decided to change the rules for Danish citizenship. The new rules is making it harder to get citizenship. There are many more requirements you have to meet. You have to be better at the Danish language, and you have to know more about the danish history, culture and society.
The new demands are:
- That You've passed the danish test 3 at the "Language Center", or any other test in danish at the same level.
- That You've passed a test in the circumstances of the Danish society, danish culture and danish history. The test is new. It has to contain 40 questions. You have to get at least 28 correct answers to pass.
- That You have been able to provide for yourself for 4 out of the last 5 years.
- That You haven't comitted any serious crime.
When You apply for Danish citizenship, You have to fill out an application form. It shall be handed in at the local police station. You can get the application form at the police station or download it from the Ministry of Integrations website.
The Ministry of Integration will decide if the appliers fulfills the condititions on getting a Danish citizenship."
There might be some errors.. spelling or language but I'm kinda tired. hehe
Hope this will help you though Ugg the Danish Peoples Party are such nazi bitches |

| | | Thank you so much! It makes more sense now. My Danish not being all that great, I sometimes miss information. Now at least I'm sure I understood everything. And that's very creepy! But aren't there many neo-nazis in Denmark and Sweden? I think I saw that in a documentary. That's really unfair and I just don't understand those policies. Here, Sarkozy wants to do the same. My thought is that if Africans (in our case, many Africans move to France illegally) had better living conditions in their country, they wouldn't bother coming to our so-called wonderful democracies. Africa is a fascinating continent! But we, rich countries, despise them and let them die of hunger and thirst and of AIDS, and help some start wars and then pretend we didn't know about it. So if we helped poor countries, there wouldn't even be any immigration problems. |

| | | PinkIndieFairy - I totally agree...! Umm I think there are more nazis in sweden than in Denmark.. but the law in denmark doesnt forbid showing/wearing nazi symbols in public, as it does in sweden.. so all the demonstrations are held here.... yesterday there were a 150 nazis gathered in this little town called svendborg.. demonstrating and shit.... its gross.
Flakes - oh yeah... but actually.. ive come to the point where i cant even take them seriously... theyre acting like stupid, ignorant children.. quite scary that they participate in leading a country.. |

| | I know I'm asking a lot from you Danish friends, but I was wondering if you could help me by translating these texts in Danish? You don't have to go into complicated sentences, you can translate it with easy, simple Danish. It's just that I'm trying to write all of it in Danish and it doesn't work, my mind is blocked and I can't express half of what I think. I know it's quite long so if it takes you the weekend to do the translation, trust me I won't mind. And thank you very, very much for those of you who will help! If you want anything (sweets, magazines, whatever from France) or need translation help, PM me!
(I'll post the texts to translate in three posts so it's not too messy and long) Edit: I'll upload a Word file, it'll be easier. It's a three/four page document. Edit 2: That's it, it's uploaded. I included what I managed to write in Danish and then added what I wrote in English. So if you could correct the Danish and help me translate the English, I'll love you forever!

| | I suspect my Danish professor of taking drugs! With the strikes and all, I sent her my Danish work through e-mail and she e-mailed me back to confirm she had got it, and yesterday I received a transfered e-mail by another student in my Danish class about watching "Drabet" at uni, and as a PS she writes "there are still two e-mail addresses I don't have: Blandine (me) and Marina (another student)". Yet we've sent at least 10 e-mails each!!! |

| | hey... i dont know what the fuck is wrong with this... i cant PM you.... oh well I hope you get this,.... I'm so sorry it took me ages, but ive been quite busy.... and now im starting to wonder if i even did it right?? cos all i did was to translate all the danish into english.. oh well i hope it didnt cross the deadline or whatever??? here ya go:
1. This article is a review on Per Flys movie "Drabet". "Drabet" is the new film by the danish instructeur, and is the third and last
movie in his triology, which describes social environments. "Drabet" is about the middle class. The two other movies are about the lower class and the upper class of course.
"Drabet" is about a "gymnasie" teacher (dont know how to translate gymnasium?), whos name is Carsten (played by Jesper Christensen) He lives a normal life: a job, a wife.... and a lover. Her name is Pil (played by Beate Bille) and is one of Carstens former students. Pil is an activist on the far left wing. .............. (The next sentence doenst really make any sense to me? Hehe is it your teacher who's writing this? Cos a lot of it is unproper danish... oh well) But one day a police officer is killed, and Pil is accused as the killer. That is when Carsten decides to make a decision, which will change his life forever. The author of the article gives "drabet" 6 points. She thinks that..........
2. Per Flys film is very interesting because it's about normal lives and normal people. The things happening in the movie, could easily happen to us. We've seen "Arven" and I liked it alot. "Arven" is about a dane, Christoffer, who lives in Stockholm with his swedish wife. She's and actress. When Christoffers father commits suicide, his mother Annelise insists that Christoffer takes over the family's steel rolling mill. Even though "Arven" is about the upper class, it is easy to understand how Christoffer's living. .......dont understand??? Christoffers life is not perfect; He has to make decisions, make choises. These choises are difficult and he's fighting alot with his wife, Maria, who divorces him. Of course, you understand it better when it's realistic. You're moved because you know that these things could happen. You dont think about romantic movies or fiction films because you know that theyre not realistic and that theyre not like in real life.
It's the same with "drabet" You could be Carsten or Pil. And i think that's the reason why you think alot about Per Flys films.
When "arven" ended, i thought about it in a day or two... The film was almost as real as if I knew Christoffer or his wife. I think that Per Flys movies makes us think and maybe after watching a film by Per Fly some people would change their life.
i hope you can use it | |
