On holiday i bought a miniature VM painted piece of glass. Well, i'm not even sure what is it made of-it looks like glass. Anyway, I want it to be set and made in to a pendant with a gold trim. Here is a pic i took of it on my phone. Does anyone know what it actually is? On the back it says Flamor in gold writing. Her face is painted and her clothes, veil, and halo look like they are made with coloured foils which are set under a glaze but i cant work out if the paint is on top? It is definitely either on the surface or just under it but many layers above the foil.

I can't tell at all from the pic & the description of what materials were used and what it is made from. Could you give me a rough estimate of the thickness? A respected jeweler should have no problem at all building a setting for the piece despite what materials were used in the creation of the piece. It really is gorgeous though. Congratulations.

I have no idea what it is made from either and feel pretty stupid for saying that. There is some kind of black lead like material showing around the edges on the back where the blue has worn away... It is very thin but curved like a fingernail. (everyone was saying how creepy it was because it looks like one) A euro cent is 1.67 mm thick and including the curve they look about the same so i would say half of that?
