For the end of term my house is having a late 80s/early 90s themed party and I have decided to be Courtney. There are two main reasons for this, the first being that I really hate fashion from this era and am not pretty enough to get away with a comically hideous charity shop outfit. The second is that if I start the night with makeup all over my face, when I inevitably end up looking a bit rough people will think it's part of the costume.

What I wanted to ask on here is to save me time in the shops, to see if anyone has seen babydoll type dresses in any shops recently for not much £, or maybe even has one they might like to sell. If I can't find anything I have a gothic lolita-y weird vintage number I could potentially wear, but I'd like one of those black and white dresses with a couple of buttons on the front, ideally. I'm sure you all know what I mean...

I'm going to try and get a blonde wig, otherwise people might not be able to tell who I am. Since it's unlikely there'll be many other former teenage hole fans at the party I need to make it obvious! Any other tips on dressing up as Courtney you want to share? I was thinking black heels, white tights or torn fishnets, lots of eyeliner and red lipstick for the rest of the outfit. Thanks for your help!

i wouldn't use fish-nets. hold-ups are better. you underwear must show.

jus buy a slip and wear loads of lippy

and i agree on the holdups thing

and maybe dollyshoes or tacky patent heels

the lippy and wig will def give it away
