| This is far too complex a question to be answered in full here. Let's just say there was an incident in my childhood involving cats and be done with it. Quote: |

| No, but I'm assuming it's some kind of religious parable?

Couture is an art, I cannot believe how many people disregard it. Yes, it seems that many models are just skinny bimbo's that put on a dress and get their pic taken...but it just doesn't work like that. It is an extremely competitive industry and a model shows up, works for her money, and goes home to her tiny apartment in Brooklyn...if she, or he, is lucky. In order to avoid just being a commercial toothpaste model, one has to have a lot of talent, physical and personal presence...AND be able to convey a CONCEPT created by the designer.
Is an A&F model and artist? Pfffft, I don't even care to waste the brain cells to consider it. However, one of my favorite top models right now, Siri Tollerod, was in the American Eagle Look Book as one of her first big campaigns. And now she is, well...google her I guess.
Sorry for the LONG post, I'm just passionate about it... |

| | she rolls with the british street style. NOthing wrong with that. Better than fanny packs, baseball caps and sandals with socks...
I don't think there are enough emoticons to express how I feel about typical American 'fashion'. Just my opinion.... |

But really, why condemn someone for going against what the high brows consider acceptable. Would she be better off wearing Abercrombie or something???
I'm not gonna argue with you about it, I happen to appreciate her quirky rebelliousness, but many people don't. You're entitled to your opinion.... |

I'm sorry. I'm not trying to antagonize anyone. I'm also not going to boast about my personal knowledge in order to qualify my opinion. People can laugh, disagree, whatever. I realize that this is not going in a good direction and I don't want to ruffle feathers.
If you all wish to continue with this topic, feel free to, but I am finished with it.
