I wasn't too sure if I should post this here or in Careers & Education...
My question is what should I wear to an internship? I received a fellowship at the Library of Congress over the summer. What is proper to wear? I dress pretty well(no t-shirts with writing on them). Lots of stripes and polka dots. I feel a little bit silly emailing my future supervisor what I should be wearing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can you visit and see what people are wearing? I'm guessing it's pretty professional. No suits or pantyhose, but like, nice pants and ironed skirts, no sleeveless, no cleavage, nothing too tight or see through. Things like that.

pablita: I live in Minnesota so the first time I'm visiting is the first day of work. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll be going through my closet for those types of items.

I don't know what an internship is but, I would suggest dressing a bit smarter than you think you should.. to be on the safe side/make a good impression.
