dressing for your age

im 25 and i feel like im in between jrs and womens. the trendy stuff that i would like to wear that looks a bit more mature like bcbg or jcrew is too expencive. everyone tells me that i look really young. im so confused

I know how you feel! I'm stuck in this limbo fashion age as well.

I don't want to dress like a 16 year old, but I'm no way ready to dress like someone in their late 20's. Everything in between seems to catalogue, and I've lost my art with clothes. I don't feel really old, but I don't feel young enough to get away with the clothes I used to wear. Although I have a baby face so probably could.

yes, but there are many people that do this very unsucessfully. do you ever go to the mall and see the mom that looks like she raided her 14 year old daughter's closet? i will never be that lady thanks

If you're aware of it, I doubt it will happen.

I'm a year younger than you and a majority of my clothes are from the junior's department. I look younger than I am too.
The only advice I have is to just avoid really trendy stuff.

For me it wasn't even that so much as that I had to wear something different. I remember when I started feeling like I needed clothes that fit my age, and it wasn't really about what I thought I could 'get away' with as much as it was about feeling like I was stuck in time. I could wear now what I wore when I was 20, or 16, but I've already done that.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I'm 26 and when I go to Macy's, I feel stuck between the junior's dep't and the women's dep't. I like some of the stuff in juniors but I feel a little wierd shopping for clothes that 16 year olds wear. But when I go to the women's department a lot of it looks like old lady clothes to me. So far I still lean more towards juniors.
