Permanent Hair Dye

So, my boyfriend wants to dye his hair LIGHT blue for 2 months or so, and then go black, or atleast that's the plan for now, but we both don't know much about good companies....

advice?

I've always found the best to be Punky Colours, and I always bought it from the internet. It's the only kind that stayed in for any amount of time. I know that people say Manic Panic, but it's always failed us for some reason.

Also, if you really want the color to take, you HAVE to remove the pigment from his hair, meaning BLEACH his real color out and deposit the new color in, otherwise the blue will not take.

Yes, I am aware of the bleaching and the reason I made this thread to begin with was because I heard manic panic was terrible haha.

i don't think there is a such thing as a permanent light blue dye. he'd have to do touch ups every two weeks or so.

When it comes to crazy colors like that, there's no such thing as a dye that won't fade. All rainbow hair dyes fade like crazy, that's why you have to wash your hair as little as possible (like twice a week) and use a really good color safe shampoo. When I had my hair rainbow colors I used special effects which was pretty good.
