| | | Fucking bras... Does anyone have a shop which is actually great for bras? I didn't see a thread.
I'm losing my mind about it at the moment. I can't find anything that doesn't fit all wrong. I have a big back (36, the measuring woman told me 38 but thats obviously a lie since the 36 I'm wearing right now is riding up) and a smallish cup size (the woman said B, but I normally wear a C).
All fitters tell me different sizes, and all shops seem to have bras that either dig in or look really funny when they're on.
I need something that gives me lift/increased volume/support but just generally a better shape. Pretty is a bonus obviously but theres no one looking at me in my underwear so its not the bigger issue.
M&S are shit for me (which is annoying since I work there and get discount) and all my friends recommend Bravissimo which is all very well and good except they're all a lot bigger than me and they don't go down bellow a D...
Everyone here must buy their underwear somewhere... or a good fitting service? |

| | | The M&S fitter I had was great... shame it didn't work out for you. I get mine from there, or figleaves.com (where I usually get No Romeo).

| | I like figleaves. Their sizing guide thing is bollox though so I ended up hit and missing with some bras before I found my size. And now they've grown even bigger so I have to start guessing again I got sized in M+S when I was younger and the woman shouted out my bra size to the whole shop and embarrassed me so I never went back just on principle.

| | | I'm a 34D.
This means if I want to get some nice underwear in H&M or Topshop, I'm usually bitterly disappointed to find the biggest size is a 34C.
Primark is ok if you try on a billion bras and eventually find one that fits.
No Romeo is cute but the middle part (between the two cups) is too small.
I think Playtex are doing half-cup sizes too if that's any help? |

I guess we have TK MAXX but I think they only do flimsy designer stuff. Then there's Brown Thomas. You basically have to snot money to shop there though. |

| | | well the woman was probably right....a good fitting bra shouldnt ride up. i used to think i was a 40DD, and it turns out im really a 38F!!! i cant tell you how happy i am now that i had bras that fit.
i love fredricks of hollywood bras best by far. they have a ton of variety and in all kinds of sizes too.

| | | I like platex. I started ordering them online (from clothes for fat chicks site, so I don't know how far down they go) after Macy's stopped carrying them. I tried looking in kmart once. After about half an hour, I found a box for my size and then discovered the bra inside was a different size. For some reason 36DD is a hard find, harder than other DDs.

| | | no two brands of bras fit the same. cups always seem to be molded differently? i wear one size at agent provocateur and a different one in calvin klein.
you really need to be fitted. not just measured. and then you have to try on 10 different bras. its a pain in the ass but you'll be grateful you did when your new bra doesn't ride up or dig in or holds your tits up.
agent provocatuer do a fitting service. their line is expensive but i mean. i love it. it doesn't look good under form fitting tee shirts though. generally the lace shows through and that's a bad time.

Stupid womanly shape. | Yeah, exactly - most clothes look ridiculous on me because I'm a size 8 or 10, but I have to get bigger sizes to accomodate my tits. Which, to be fair, are not that big - they fluctuate lots, but at biggest, they're 32DD.
Let's lobby these stores. I'm really sick of seeing beautiful bras go as far as 34C and then no bigger. And bigger sizes having huge maternity straps.
