I don't usually go to big shows...mostly just my friends' gigs in bars. Whatever I do I always end up looking like Janis Joplin. Go figure. In general, I prefer looking nice and pretty to looking trendy.

Totally depends who i'm gonna see. Like when i go see the Manics i have to be glam. When i go see new indie bands i have to try not look like the teenagers in the room, cuz im in my 30s and i like to feel as old as i am.

But i've learned always to wear flats - converse or biker boots or something.. never stupid shoes.

I am glad I am not the only one who makes a huge concious effort when going to gigs. Seriously, WEEKS of preparation, loads of touche eclat and definately never a tshirt of any of the bands that are playing.
It is tragic.
