Vivienne Westwood appreciation thread!

Vivienne Westwood is my favourite designer and one of the women that I truly admire!
The mother of punk fashion, once married to Malcolm McLaren and co-owner of the famous Sex boutique on Kings Road in London in 70s.
Her clothes are still amazing today!
Westwood accepted a DBE in the 2006 New Year's Honours List "for services to fashion", and has twice earned the award for British Designer of the Year.
Her clothes were also exhibited in the V&A museum in London 2004-2005.

Surely there must be a lot of people on here who love her!
Post comments, pictures of her through the years, things that you have, things that you'd love to have, anything about this amazing woman!

i have a pair of vivienne westwood pants of which i'm quite proud.

i like her because she makes innovative and quality clothes. everything she does has a twist to it, it's not like she just puts her name on a pair of jeans. she's a true artist -- perhaps one of the only ones left.

also i like that she seems to appreciate the history of vestments. you don't see that much.

John Taylor has an original kilt by her and it is very stunning. I love it when men wear the bondage trousers with or without the kilts.

I heard it moved, but I visited her shop in London and it was really tiny and all lopsided and creaky. The corsets were lush.

I really like her stuff but it seems so many people are jumping on that bandwagon now....

Especially all the "punks" I know.

My best friend is a designer and you would adore her stuff. She's a true clothing historian.
