| | | Bought a pair once, hurt my feet which surprised me cause I thought there's no way flats would. TopShop often doesnt have my size anyway...I think they cost too much for what they are. |

many
2. are they "good" quality.
not particularly. but you get what you pay for. i've never spent over £40 on shoes from topshop though. i can't justify that much for something i'll see 500 other girls wearing. also, if they're fabricy..sorta that thick cotton material like plimsoles..don't try and wash them. the colour runs.
3. why dont they put measurements on the website about how high the shoes are. infuriating.
because they are arseholes. try ringing up a store and make them measure them (maybe too much of a fuss if you're overseas though)
4. would you buy shoes from an international website without trying on.
yeah. i buy slightly too big and use heel grips. |

I don't know... 4. would you buy shoes from an international website without trying on. no, but that's because my feet are a little wide and in between sizes.
I bought some shoes from topshop for £28 and they were wrecked after 5 wears. The customer service was really bad too in the store in my home town, but eventually I got my money back after writing to someone in London about it...I don't give up! The shoes in Topshop always look lovely, but they don't last and no way are they worth the money. Bronzemedal says they're what you'd expect for the money, but I'm not sure that's right, I think they're vastly overpriced. |

| | | it's very common, it's alongside H&M for common.
I would never buy anything kinda distinctive out of topman because I don't want to walk down the street and have everyone know where I bought my clothes from. basic stuff is good though, especially the T shirts, which I prefer cheap and thin.

| | i found the most gorgeous heels in there, really cute and sassy.. but they where £50 and i can't afford that right now
the thing is with topshop, all the girls at my college are wearing the clothes... even though i love nearly everything they have in there. so i tend to steer away from it. but every now and then i cant help buy myself something pretty from there. |

i dont know if i'd buy internationally, considering it's so expensive. right now i want some heels from the topshop but im afraid theyre kind of granny looking. still...$100+ shipping is a lot for shoes I cant just return...and shoes that are in a sense 'disposable' maybe my next trip to the uk |

| | | When I didn't live in the UK I used to yearn for Topshop clothes alllll the time. Now that I've moved I can't just bear to buy anything from there, it makes me itchy to see every single girl in the streets wear the same crap. This is to prove how common their stuff is. |

This is to prove how common their stuff is. | I was truly amazed by how uniform UK street fashion can be...at least amongst students. Overall it was cute and funky and so unlike the states, but yes, it's an assembly line of topshop models roaming the streets. The few things I did buy there look so much better across an ocean. |

The few things I did buy there look so much better across an ocean. | Yeah same here, I used to come home from my trips to Scotland with tons of clothes that in Italy were considered unique and exotic, but now I find shopping here soooo boring and unsatisfying. Yesterday for example, I went to the centre very well ready to blow half my wage in clothes and all I came home with was a plain pair of jeans. How sad is that?? And whenever I actually find something I like it's from Mango or Zara, 2 shops I constantly visited in Rome as well. Now Primark is another story, it's just so rubbish but addictive, I'm going to miss it really bad when I flee from Glasgow. |

Berlin was also quite fantastic for shopping.
Gelf I agree, Primark must incredibly unethical to sell such cheap stuff, but it's exactly the same clothes you get in topshop/new look/H&M/etc etc so I'd rather pay less for them, since the quality is crap anyway. Until I can afford to shop only at Chanel I'm going to stick with Primark |

I have heard people say this about topshop before, but theyve always seemed pretty accurate when i've tried them on, BUT whats fucking annoying is that THE pair of heels they have that I adore so much, are way too BIG! I have to wear double socks in the smallest size, that usually fits my feet nicely. |

argh. office shoes. now they are a complete rip off if id ever found one, wreck in about a week of wearing. and their sizes are often so out, in my findings. but like you said they sell many different brands = many different fittings
the uk lj community "thehighstreet" or "off_highstreet" is good for this sort of discussion or questions
