I was in a piercing shop yesterday (my friend was getting her ear done) and I felt a big rush of excitement I really want something pierced. It has to be something that I can hide, my mother would kill me if I got my nose done or something...
so, what do you think about belly button piercings? Does it hurt and get easily infected? I think they are pretty. |

| | | I had mine done for about 2 1/2 years. Getting it done didn't really hurt, but I over cleaned mine and it got infected (dumb eh?). It's been fine ever since though, I've never had a problem with it.

They're as common and trendy as lower back tattoos which I thought were once cool, but now, ugh, every tom.dick and harry has one. If its gotta be done though, thank god its you and not some 200 pound woman with a crop top. Ive seen it here. Not pretty. |

| | I had mine done about 10 years ago, so i cant really remember much about the healing. But it was the least painful piercing i've had, i remember that much.
If you want it done then do it! Dont worry about what others think! Tacky or not  . Its your body!

| | it doesnt hurt ... but you do hafto make sure you clean it well because it does get easily infected . also try not to bump into things ... a few months ago i bumped into my bedpost nd nearly ripped the ring right out !  im getting it repierced later this month |

I've had mine done for almost 5 years now and had no real problems with it.
Just make sure as with any piercing do not get it done with cheap jewellery, if you are sensitive go with titanium. |

It hurts for about three seconds, but it feels like someone pinching your skin hard, nothing more. I also found that it didn't sting much afterwards, whereas when I got my ears done numerous times they would always feel a bit sore for the rest of the day.
Mine did get infected, but that was because I was an idiot and went swimming before it was healed, in what was probably not the cleanest water in the world. You'll get a lot of crusty stuff forming round it for the first few weeks, but that's just it healing itself - as long as it's not red or sore it should be fine. |
