Help Me Please, Wool In The Wash And Ruined Clothes

i have 2 wool things and they STUPIDLY got put in the wash
and theyre all out of shape and shrunk
please say there is SOMETHING THAT COULD POSSIBLY BE DONE EVER
please, and the skirt said dryclean only and the dress was vintage so i have no idea
please suggest anything?

Send a message via MSN to bronzemedal
try hand washing it in really cool water
then soak it in loads of softener
when you've rinsed it, lay it out flat. try to get it roughly back to its old shape by stretching it and putting weights on it.

that sometimes works if the shrinking wasn't too bad in the first place. but its likely that they're buggered

you really shouldn't be putting any woolen items in the washing machine miss scarlet! they'll live a lot longer if you hand wash them.

i didnt put them in
my mum did, she offered to replace them BUT I JUST CANT HANDLE THEM GOING TO WASTE?!
im so uspet
this is so annoying?

Wash them in warmish water to open the fibres, then hang them to dry. Repeat, hanging from each angle so they stretch equally. Depending on how much they've shrunk it might or might not work.

maybe try going to the dry cleaners and asking them to help? they may have something that can help. good luck
