| | Sneakers/Trainers Help! I need a new pair of sneakers, and am at a total loss of what to buy.
I've kind of fallen out with sneakers as fashionable shoes over the years, but still need a pair for those long-walking days. What's out there that's nice??
I know everyone loves pumas, but other than them, what are some great sneakers!? I hate the really athletic looking shoes like Nikes etc, and just need something functional and casual that isn't tooooo obvious and noticeable. I've kind of liked the way some kangaroos have looked (really 70's and cute), and as brand name whoreish as this is, i saw a cute pair of green suede lacoste sneakers....that's it recently.
Any pics of great sneakers/trainers would be great too. |

| | | I don't mind Saucony, they're pretty laid back.
Converse I totally don't like the look of, I guess I like something kind of innovative and modern looking, with just a bit of a vintage sneaker vibe.
Some of the Merrell's on the website are very cute, thanks Squarepusher. They seem a bit pricey, but I'll keep my eyes out for a good deal.
I'm a sucker for innovative shoes with interesting (but not over the top) designs. It's a lot to look for in a sneaker... I've had gravis sneakers for the past few years but they're totally dead now. |

| | I got these a couple of weeks ago. I love them.
Sneaker style Converse are really nice looking but they always give me blisters is i don't wear thick socks with them. Adidas are always comfy. I have a pair of purple Adidas sneakers that i've nearly worn to death. I like Skechers too. They are really cute but and waaay comfy. I had a GREAT pair of jogger style Skechers, they were dark denim with glittery silver and pink trims but i cannot find them anywhere. How one loses a pair of shows, i have no idea. |

But do they seriously have arch support issues? I'm in no ways going to be hiking or anything "xtreme", but I do walk a lot around the city and would appreciate a shoe that's good to your feet.
I love these ones btw,

I do an easy walk to uni and then speed it up to a fast/power walk home for some good exercise. I love them because they're super comfy and they don't look like joggers so i can wear them around with jeans and stuff if winter ever gets here. |

| | my feet are married to nike. they own my feet, i hardly ever wear anything else. for working out, nothing comes close. id recommend you try on every cross trainer you can, thats key- youve gotta put them on to see how your foot feels. nikes break in nice, they LAST and the sole is relatively slim so they're more streamlined than adidas cross trainers.
for speciality sports shoes, adidas are the best. but we're talking cleats, so that's not really appropriate for your needs.
in terms of 'non sporty' looking ones- puma makes a few, like the californias. adidas superstars are of course classic, and can be worn with anything. and the various take off of the adidas indoor soccer shoes too.
but none of that matters unless you go to the store and try them all on and see what's right for your specific foot.
you can really match trainers with alot, i do it all the time because that's all i wear |

| | I ended up buying a pair of pumas with an olive green swoopy thing. thye're sort of a creamy/off-white colour, they're pretty nice.
I'm wearing them for the first time, they're just walking type shoes, nothing with a lot of support etc..
I'll post pics later! | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
