| | | The Christmas online shopping thread! So it's coming up to Christmas and I want to know all your favourite online shops for Christmas pressies??
I love www.bluefly.com but I can't afford *anything* there.
Asos.com was a favourite last year, but this year it's all more brand-oriented and expensive. |

| | I dunno if anyone remembers Elyse Sewell from the first round of America's Next Top Model, but she mentioned this site on her livejournal. It looks pretty cute! |

| | | I love the designs of the bags at buyolympia, but they always look so cheap to me. Like they'd fall apart after a few uses. Does anyone have one that can attest to their quality?
fredflare is awesome. |

| | | The livejournal post I got the link from is Elyse Sewell listing it as one of the best presents she's ever had, I think, if that helps? |

| | | Not really it doesn't. It doesn't matter. I don't think I'd buy a purse from there. If anything I'd steal the idea and make it myself with materials I trust. |

the record broke, but that's because i stepped on it

Iamaposeur, I have a little record bag from a shop called Octopus in Leeds and it's fabulous, but the plastic of the bag quickly 'unpeeled' from the record, and although it's to some extent reparable with a hairdryer, nit never lasts. Did you find the same problem? I love it, but the peeled away bits look a bit shit. |

| | | nope, i didn't have that problem.
it's still in great shape (a bit dirty though, but most of my bags are).
if i could justify buying another one (i'm kinda broke), i would get another one in pink (mine is red). |

| | | Yeah, mine was like £8 and now they're about £28.
Mine's in fantastic shape too, just looks a bit cloudy where the records are. |

| | the only things i've bought online this year are handmade necklaces for my friends, as i have neither the time or the talent to make my own. i've got an adorable owl one (i have a friend who is scaryobsessed with the o rly owls), marilyn monroe one and some strange little japanese character thing for another friend. they're really cute...i got them from http://gs-bylaura.livejournal.com/ the lady is very nice and does deals too.
oh and a gross little lost character figurine for a friend too. she lives, breathes and shits Lost. i'm hoping this will make her year. www.forbiddenplanet.com
and loads of cd's and dvds from amazon. i ordered the best of the charlatans cd for my boyfriend and felt dirty.
i'm still desperately looking for something special for my boyfriend. getting really stressed now, i usually have christmas sorted by this time but with starting uni this year everything has been really hectic. |
