| | | House of Dereon - YUCK I can't speak for the clothes because I've never seen them, but I was browsing through my september issue of Vogue and I came across two adds for Beyonce's "couture" line and it just ruined the whole magazine.
The pictures are beyond tacky and cheesy. I can't stand them. They are proud, forced, prepotent and utterly ridiculous. The picture of the grand mother and her mother faux fixing her dress, I mean could it be more forced and contrived???
as a publicity campaing, on a scale from 1 to 10 I give it a -210. |

| | yeah i dont like it either. and im not one of those people who is cateogrically against all celebrity clothing lines....... ive seen some LAMB and j.lo stuff that i actually really loved.
house of dereon, its seriosuly lacking a boldness, or any kind of distinction. its boring and third rate, theres no theme, its random half-assed copying. even the logo makes me think of some random silicon valley upstart. and the prices!?? at least i can get a j.lo sweater for 39$ thats a decent stella knockoff if i so pleased.
wtf is this |

All these celebrities are absurd with their clothing lines. They start them because "well, I'm creative and I've always liked clothes." That describes millions and millions of people! Not all of them need to start clothing lines! Just because they "like clothes" doesn't mean they have an actual clue about designing -- about sewing and fit and drape and all that. Actually designing clothes is about more than just thinking up cute outfits. |

I really want to see models in magazines again...someone bring me the head of Anna Wintour and hack up Andre Leon Talley while you're at it. |

I'd wear the above things, they are pretty & I love the color of the top.
But beyonce is a fur wearing succubus! And this House of Crap line, I've heard includes fur. So, my money will not contribute to dis-sort-of-thing. |
