| | | un-obvious fashion nays what do you not like?
and i don't mean the "goths and boho chavs!!1" kind of things. we already now that uggs, gypsy skirts and raver pants are not the pinnacle of cool. i mean things that other people seem to like but you for some reason dislike. besides the huge trend/ex-trend things.
i don't like the trenchcoat+pants combination. it just looks wrong on most people. unless you are have a model body, you just look like a giant pear on legs. trenchcoat with skirt/dress is just a completely different look and so much hotter. |

| | | shift dresses. i realise it's a developing trend right now and i'm sure it'll be blowing up much more later this year as summer rolls in, but to wear a shift you have to have a certain body type. i dont think that people with wide hips, big boobs and stumpy legs, who follow fashion religiously or who just like the look of the dress (and will want to wear it), will clock that it wont look great on them. |

| | | Following on from Particlezen, I'd add anything denim that isn't a good old plain pair of jeans.
I think by the end of summer I'm going to get so sick of seeing spots around. I was in topshop the other day and think that a lot of the current fashion stuff is pretty unforgiving, more so than usual. Last year anyone who wanted to follow fashion could wear one of those big skirts (yuck, hate, hate, hate; but everyone else seemed to like) and not look like too much of a monster. Now, pencil skirts?
But I think this is quite obvious and doesn't really qualify for the thread title..."people who are certain shapes should not wear certain outfits". |

I dont hate, just severely annoyed. Its not anyway original globally but lets say down my part of the country it wasnt heard of until now. That was my look since I was 16 (now verging on 21) and its EVERYWHERE in the shops, cheap shit where everyone can afford to look the same. Uggggh.
I hate trends, it puts the clothes Id normally wear anyway into the generic category. |

they usually look quite young though so they probably don't realise how stupid it looks. |

| | | I guess this goes with the "too trendy" category but I hate those leggings. Even on people who have the body type for their legs to not look like stuffed sausages -- I just don't like them. I understand they are wonderful because they enable you to wear skirts and flip flops without shaving your legs, but they're ugly.
I don't like anything puffy-sleeved. Maybe it's because I'm petite so my shoulders are narrow and stuff looks big and puffy on me already, but I hate them. If there's the slightest little bit of gathering at the sleeves, I will hate the shirt or jacket, even if it's not super-puffy. I'm not big on ruffles anyways, I tend to feel silly in really ruffly, frilly stuff, but on the sleeves, I hate them.
I also hate beading and other sorts of decorations on swimsuits. I hate most of it on regular clothing as well. I cannot bring myself to wear anything with rhinestones on it. I have an aversion. Even if they were svarovski (spelling probably mangled) crystals, I wouldn't wear it, I just hate crystals all over things. |

they usually look quite young though so they probably don't realise how stupid it looks. | I saw a chubby middle-aged mom with them the other day. The footless tights, black flip flops, and knit skirt OC fasion victim uniform. Except it looks trendily disheveled when you wear it and you're young and your thinness, hair, makeup, and chanel sunglasses let everyone know you're really loaded (or want everyone to think you are), but when you're at least 50 lbs overweight and nearing 40, sorry, but a knit skirt, tights, and flip flops makes you look like a bag lady. |

Yeah. Ew.
Anyone who wears them should be shot. Many times over, so they can't have an open-casket funeral. That way, if they're buried in it, no one will have to see. |

My DISlikes:
-sandals with socks is number one, but it's pretty obvious isn't it
ok so
-sweatpants in public (unless you are going to/coming from a gym or dance class)
-dress/skirt with pants. WHY is everyone falling prey to this trend?!
-the "j Crew look"- straight hair in a pony-tail, small earrings, and boring clothes from the gap or j crew. I don't dislike all clothing from those stores, but this particular look is Brave New World-Drab.
-when a girl's hair is the same color as her skin: tan.
-leggings. I was embarassed in 7th grade to have worn them in 6th grade- you should be embarassed to wear them now.

| | | - Denim on denim.
- Wearing rock tshirts when you have nfi about the band.
- Shorter than short skirts. Yuck.
- Hair extensions & those hair bands made of synthetic hair.
- Streaks that look anything but natural. Unless it's like, purple or whatever. Streaks are supposed to look real, not like someone painted stripes on your head. |

| | | i definitely agree with synthetic hair - in most cases. the natural looking hair extensions are fine. in fact most of the time they look great. anything else, i am not ok with.
i also have a huge problem with the way some people are layering their clothes, which also incorporates excessive use of belts as decoration. putting a belt over a dress is retarded. it's a dress. it doesn't need a belt.
i loathe knee-high boots worn with shorts or miniskirts. especially in winter, for some reason. knee high boots should go over skinnyleg jeans or with a long skirt, and nothing else.
the whole victorian fad at the moment is a bit ick as well. especially when people wear nothing but victorian style clothing. it's all a tad overdone for me.
