I agree with Baby Boredom, it would look better if the toe was entirely closed. For some reason I didn't visualise it that way before. Odd.

i can't see the open toe.. the shoes i've seen like those are closed, i don't know i like the old fashioned quality of them, they remind me of the forties and that's always a good thing.

That's okay, actually I can see it now. That style of shoe has been very common in NZ since then, they are just standard school shoes, I think. I had a pair like them too.

yeah, i think she wears them with her school uniform too. mostly we don't have uniforms here... so we didn't get cool shoes :/

Trust me...they aren't cool. They get stinky and uncomfortable. Although I had one pair that I really did like, but they broke very quickly.

i will trust you, there is that 'grass is always greener' thing. having none, i always sort of liked uniforms, but i bet if i'd had them i would've hated them.

i'd be interested to see them on. they don't look that good in the picture but i have the feeling they might look really great on.

I daresay you would have.
Uniforms save a lot of money in terms of other clothes (then again, uniforms are horrendously expensive) but even within that there's still the "ooh, who can wear their jumper in an interesting way and have it turn into a trend" and "ooh, who has the coolest shoes" competitiveness (even though they were all hideous). Kids can be ridiculous.

no,its a great thing. i wouldnt wear them but thats because i hate the bows. i coudl imagine someone wearing them with a black pencil skirt, the opaque tights and maybe a black tailored shirt or something.

Peep toes definitely need to be tried on because depending on the shape of your feet/toe, it may work or...not. When I see some women wearing narrow peeptoes like that with one toe sticking out like it is trying to escape, I look away. I also hate bows, so I can not personally wear them....No, it is not working for me. So you gotta buy something else for my birthday.

i'm not really into the whole shoe/boot hybrid thing. i think i wouldn't know what to wear with them
