| | | my dress was only $75. It was a silky/purple material and had a flower pin thing in the middle. I didnt love it but it was an okay dress. If i could do it again I would go for a midnight blue one i saw at the store. |

| | we didn't have formals/proms at my school, our big dress up things were deb balls [i went as a guest to 4, which was better than actually doing it because i could wear whatever i wanted rather than a white dress]:
going to a deb ball when i was about 16 wearing a blue corset top & this amazing black ballgown type skirt that you can't really see properly. ignore the red hair.
and graduation. i had an awesome dress for graduation but i don't think i have any photos on the computer. it was a-line & strapless & it was a plum kind of colour with a see-through black layer over the top. it cost some ridiculous amount. |

i could have gone with something practical but nooo i had to have a big pink ballgown

| | | year 11 prom - polkadot prom dress, i think it only cost about £25. with 4" black dainty mary jaynes and pearls
year 12 - black cocktail layered dress from tk maxx for £17!
year 13 christmas prom - french connection plain strapless corset style dress. this is the best one ever. again, only cost me about £20 from t'maxx
year 13 spring prom - pale green and cream lace karen millen dress. i was too fat for this but lived in denial anyway and wore it
i've got photos of all of those on the computer somewhere but i always go to the pub before proms and turn up wankered, so i look really stupid in all of the photos. |

| | my prom dress was plain black and floor length with tiny straps, but i accessorised it to the max with elbow-length gloves and massive earrings.
i have no photos of it though. none at all. my camera got nicked a couple of weeks later at another leavers party. so i lost the photos of me with my LEGEND of an english teacher pretending to be james bond.
sooz - i was fairly pissed before i got there too. as a result of which, i nearly set fire to one of my teachers with a cigarette, made a complete arse of myself doing a dance we made up when we were 14, and insulted a girl in the year below me who was working in the hotel where the prom was. way to make a dignified exit from my school career.

i think we've all done it though. one of my friends spent a good 4 1/2 minutes with her left boob out, because everyone was too scared to say anything.
someone in the year below drank so much that he actually shit himself in a rented suit. that was hilarious. we now compare any cringe worthy moment to that. nothing comes as close. |

i was in the mint green (tip, wear a bra and get someone to lace you very very tightly in if your dress is like mine!).. my dress was beautiful at the beginning of the evening but as i lost weight and my boobns shurunk lol, it looked a bit shit. to be honest, i hated my prom with a vengence but was glad i went! for my last ball (this year in may), i managed to buy a gorgeous wrap dress from river island for £20 with student discount! it is stunning and i still wear it!
here's a very blurred pic of my prom dress at the beginning!
i wore some stunny KG shoes.. that matched the dress perfectly and were just beautiful. my hair was a disaster (less is more!), went to hairdressers, they put hot rollers in, the curls just fell out so my friend plastered my hair to my head with hairspray, then i just washed it and let it dry naturally and it was ok lol! my make up was done by a professional but i would recommend using as few products as is ok for you.. oi saw so many people covered in mskeup that had run all down thier faces! bring a lipgloss, use a lovely perfume and you'll feel great!

| | mine is coming up soon aswell. i went dress shopping a couple of times and i just felt stupid in a dress, not me at all. so i decided to buy a suit. not a butch suit but a really feminine suit. only cost $450 and i can wear again and again. i get it off lay-by on saturday im doing my make up myself and my friend (who is a hairdresser) is doing my hair for me so im getting out of it pretty cheaply. some of the girls have spent over $1000 on dress/hair/make-up/shoes/transport etc and i think its ridiculous for one night. where is yours going to be? mine is at the river room at southbank |

But I think a nicely tailored, really sharp one would have looked killer. With some heels and perhaps a top hat? Everyone would remember you. |

| | | Junior Prom- Nicole Miller pink back less dress with criss cross straps, Michael Kors Black stilletto nightmare sandals... my drunken imbecile friend tackled me into the parking lot dirt.
Senior prom-A much cheaper dress which looked even prettier same shoes. I can't believe I went so crazy for Junior Prom. It was ridiculous. But Then, one girl was wearing a Versace gown so... |
