Funny thing is, they're allowing baby formula, which is what the people tried to use as a bomb. But. I guess it's hard to explain to an infant why he or she can't be fed on their 18 hour flight to New Zealand.

You have to taste the baby formula in front of the TSA personnel if you want to take it on. Which I don't think is that effective, because if you're about to blow yourself up, what do you care if you drink something poisonous? But they can't just not let you feed babies on long flights. Imagine how miserable that would be, with all the screaming.

There are also some other things that are allowed, it's on some website. "Necessary" medicines and diabetic supplies are allowed, but you have to have an ID matching the prescription. It's all stuff that could be gotten around, but they can only be so restrictive.
