So, here's the story:

My driver's license has been suspended by the DMV because I had some seizures. It's turned out to be Epilepsy, so it's gonna be a lot longer than I thought until I get it back.

My daughter has lost a lot of weight recently, and needs new pants. I can't drive her anywhere to get them. It's really hard to order clothes on the internet because a lot of the time, they don't fit right.

Can anyone recommend a site where the size represented is pretty accurate? Or, just any really good sites in general. Not Alloy or Delia's please.

I know...and their shit either shrinks really bad or falls apart. Delia's especially.

if she's ever tried on clothes at gap or old navy and already knows roughly what size she is, she shouldn't have much problem. same with j.crew.

Where does she usually shop? I know this is the 'duh' answer but maybe if she's gotten pants at the Gap or Banana Republic before she could order from their sites. At least she'd have a better idea of what their sizing is there, as opposed to a random internet site.

Buying pants on the internet...that's tough.

The problem is, she's lost a lot of weight and hasn't bought any pants since, so we don't know what size she is now. We don't really shop at the Gap or any specific store, we just sort of go looking around and random shops and get what we like. This sucks!

Yeah, sorry, that part about the weight didn't register.

She's 16. She's into glam (Bowie, T-Rex type glam), and she's not preppy or trendy at all. That's why in a way, it might be fun to look around on the net, but the fitting issue is what worries us.

so she's tried nothing on at any stores since losing this weight? sounds like you're just going to have to buy what you think she might be (if you don't have a tape measure) and make sure the site has a flexible return policy.

Yeah, that's what I've been thinking. I just wondered if there's a good site out there to even look at. It's that, or ask my husband to take us to the mall and pick us up later. No way would I want to go to a mall with that man!
