Just get a ring instead of a stud if your worried about all this inhaling/cold buisness.
I've had a small ring in my nose for about 2 and a half years now, and I don't even remember its there to be honest with you.

When I first had it done, there was scar tissue on the nose for about a month, which basically was a nasty looking red lump right around the piercing.

I got it done!
I did it on Wednesday, it didn't hurt at all, but my eyes did water alot funnily enough. And it's not even red or leaky. I'm really glad I did it now it looks really cute, I decided on a stud instead of a ring for work purposes..it's not even sore at the moment, just kind of itchy. it's driving me insane that i can't touch it!
so glad i got it done though!!

I know plenty of people who have had their noses pierced and I never notice any scars, and I haven't heard of any cartilage problems.

Thumbs up

i have my right nostril pierced - never have had any problems.

when you get it done, it stings a bit and your eyes water, but that's it.

mine healed fine. i use a stud. i prefer the cork-screw ones because they don't come out or get loose. it stays in place, and has my birthstone in it.

i can blow my nose just like a normal person.

when i got my nose pierced, the lady told me to be careful when i use a towel and dry my face, because the stud can get stuck in the towel and you tug on it. i don't think it would rip out - just be AWARE that it's there when you use a towel.

and sometimes my stud gets stuck in my friends' hair when i hug them (LOL) - but it's always funny and i get it unstuck pretty quick.

DON'T BE PARANOID. nose rings are great. you are stressing too much.

This happened to me and a few times I ripped it out in my sleep. It hurt like a bitch. But i've had it for awhile now and no scarring or anything unusual.
