I'm going to set up a few auctions on old issues of NME, various cds and clothes. But I've not sold anything over the internet so just wondered how is best to pack items up before posting? I don't know what's the best way of posting a dress for example, do I parcel it or get a box for it? Help me please!

when i sell stuff i mostly used padded envelopes, with the bubble wrap type lining. if it fits in the envelope that's what i use. if i sell something bigger like a formal dress with crinoline or a jacket then i would use a box.

What about NME magazines? They're slightly too large for most envelopes I've seen.

you can get envelopes large enough for around 50p from the post office for NME. either buy a cardboard layered envelope or cut your own cardboard and put it either side of the magazine to stop it getting bent.
