No longer having any digital camera nor providentially modern cell phone to borrow, I unfortunately can't provide pictures of my very copies of the albums I mean to get rid of.
The following are just courtesy of amazon & co therefore, so that you have a precise idea of the artwork.
QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE : LULLABIES TO PARALYZE
This one I know has been posted numerous times in the mp3 sharing thread, but one never knows, someone may feel like owning the "official" thing...
No classic jewel case packaging for this one, comes as a black plastic insert maintaining the CD inside a cardboard sleeve - a little thicker than the usual cardboard sleeves used for most singles, and so bearing the band's name and the album title on the edge.
Also, this very edition doesn't feature any booklet (not that there would have originally been one which I would have lost, I bought this album in a record store new and sealed, and there wasn't any inside), so it basically consists in the CD, the plastic insert and sleeve mentionned above. 2005 reissue including bonus track 'Like A Drug'.
CRUCIFIED BARBARA : IN DISTORTION WE TRUST
Not really the type of band I guess seems familiar to everyone, so simply as a rough preview of the general sound : Swedish all-female band that has often been compared to Joan Jett, and which I personally tend to find somewhat reminiscent of L7, signatory of reoccuring heavy, metal friendly stuff as well as more punk oriented songs.
Official website and
MySpace profile to hear excerpts.
THE DIVINE MADNESS : SECRETS
Not many knowing this one either, presumably. Imagery somewhat close to a strange yet rather convincing mix of The Birthday Massacre and Charmed (yes, Halliwell sisters related stuff), music close to I don't know what...
A friend bought me it as she thought I'd enjoy it given the repeated presence of tracks predominantly structured around a piano among the excerpts she heard before her purchase. Well, I must say this band is not my cup of tea (although I don't find their material unlistenable, it just doesn't appeal much to me), but maybe someone will like the bloody record more. But warning people, 2CD thing, but only one-sided insert in the case, which concretely means both CDs are empiled up.
Again,
official website and
MySpace profile to hear songs from this 23 tracks (!) debut album.
SONIC YOUTH SYR 2 : SLAAPKAMERS MET SLAGROOM
1997 3-track Digipak with almost prattling Kim Gordon and dense noisy experiments - opening track 'Slaapkamers Met Slagroom' is more than 17 minutes long.
All cases and other packaging are in wavering between near mint and like new condition, CDs being in perfect condition. I will ship absolutely anywhere for free - have a scandalous amount of money I can't use for anything else than postage...
But having no idea of what price to possibly demand for these, let's just say I'll be considering
any offer you could make.
And just in case some'd be interested in those, I think I'll also get rid of one
Marilyn Manson's 'Tourniquet' single (tracklisting is
1. Tourniquet
2. The Tourniquet Prosthetic Dance Mix - Radio Edit and
3. The Tourniquet Prosthetic Dance Mix), as well as a copy of 2003 full-length
The Golden Age Of Grotesque, regular edition and German pressing, that is to say the usual tracklisting plus the Tainted Love cover as bonus track. Both again are in mint condition.
Well, and finally - but this is no official copy this time, please read the following carefully - I have a CD-R copy of
Queen Adreena's KatieJane Garside side project Lalleshwari : Lullabies In A Glass Wilderness I thought some might be interested in too, given it isn't one of the recent digipak reissue, but one of the 2005 limited edition print. That means, tracks corresponding to those provided by
this very section of KJ's website, and so include the song 'play for us' which is not on the digipak. A friend who had ordered the original edition and received his copy before I got mine nicely burnt me this CD, and as I still quickly ended up receiving my own order, it has just been uselessly isolated for more than a year, so I thought it may be much more prized to someone else.
If prefering to give some trade thing a try, I've got to underline I am mostly after CDs and bands merch, preferably stuff related to
- Babes In Toyland / Katastrophy Wife
- Tabitha Zu / Zu / Melanie Garside / Mediaeval Baebes / Miranda Sex Garden
- Daisy Chainsaw / Dizzy Q Viper / Vapid Dolly
- Smashing Pumpkins
- PJ Harvey
- Hole / Nirvana / Courtney / Melissa auf der Maur
- Otto's Daughter
- Emilie Autumn
- Undercover Slut
- Rasputina
BUT used tapes, bootlegs, books, flyers, clippings and all these things I can't think of at the moment may be alright as well. All the CDs listed above I am either willing to get another edition of or wouldn't mind only owning a home made copy of, and so practically any record or stuff I wouldn't already have can potentially make it.
Consequently, feel free to PM me and tell what you'd like to get, and what you think I might be okay to get myself in return.
If any questions, PM me too.
