Ok I started my healthy eating plan (I refuse to call it a diet! I am just making healthier lifestyle choices i.e more fruit and veg than big macs lol) on Monday 24/7

Start Weight 119lbs (8 1/2 stone)
Target Weight 105lbs (7 1/2 stone...my weight before I went travelling)

First weigh in 31/07

Good luck

thinking it terms of getting fit/losing weight as a lifestyle change instead of a diet is a really good idea. post your results of your weigh-in. i'm sure it'll be good. *crossing fingers* good luck!

i think it'll be better to weigh yourself each week rather than every other day as weight can fluctuate daily.

also, you'll notice more of a difference in your weight weighing in each week as opposed to every other day. especially as if you eat healthy + do exercise, you may only lose 1-2lb a week.

when i used to weigh myself 4x a week, i got disappinted because i didn't feel like i'm seeing the results fast enough, it just made me miserable. i actually had to give my scales away because i was becoming way too obessesive about it.

95lbs? How tall are you? That is like 6 1/2 stone so unless you are quite short that cannot be a healthy weight

I am 5ft tall and want to weigh anything between 7 and 7 1/2 stone (98lbs-105lbs)

hey, i dont know why you are so surprised at 95lbs when you want to get down to 98lbs, there is only a 3lb difference. nevertheless, i agree that unless she is short then that's not a healthy weight. but ultimately, it is her decision to go to whatever weight she thinks will be good for her. she knows her body and what she looks like better than us.

if you dont mind me asking, how much will you have to lose in order to get down to 98lb-105lb. oddly enough, i was fixated with getting down to 105lb earlier this year.

98lb isn't underweight for someone my height which is 5ft! I wasn't criticising her choice of weight I was just asking how tall she is because for someone taller than 5ft nothing it is probably not a good weight (in my own humble opinion I might add!)

I have to lose about a stone (14lbs) to be 105lbs. I used to be about 7st 3 lbs (101lbs) which I was very happy at and I didn't find it that hard to maintain that weight but then I went travelling and ate lots of unhealthy food and put on weight.

i have 135 pounds and would like to go down to 115-120. i used to weight even less than my actual target but i put on a lot of weight since i moved to united states three years ago.

two years ago i did a fad diet for 10 days and lost a lot and was skinny again, but things got stressful ate unhealthy.

i hope to reach my goal by september when uni starts.

p.s. is granola fattening? i just ate and had a little too much of it. i find granola and contalupe to be very tasty and i could eat it all day.

i've heard about so many people who gain weight when they move or visit the states for 2 weeks +. maybe the food is generally more calorific or maybe the portion sizes are bigger. i dont know, maybe some just don't care that much when they get there. i know when my bro visited he got like a litre of coke with his burger king which is just utter ridiculous, sick and uneccessery all at the same time.

i dont think granola is fattening, but you should probably read the food labels to find out more for yourself really.

i did 80 minutes of cycling today. i started at 7.30am and i seriously had to force myself out of bed to do it. i actually went back to bed but i had to drag myself out. i'm so glad i've done it now. i want to reach the target, so i know i have no choice really.

i started exercising again yesterday after not doing any for weeks - it was pure murder, about 3 1/2 mins of cycling and i was actually out of breath. what a joke. my fitness has already improved though; my stamina was way better today. i do 10+ (10 yesterday, 11 today) laps around my local park - i dont know the distance of one lap but it takes about 3-4 minutes for me to do one. it's about a 10-15 minute walk.

anyways, it's obvious advice but i reccomend incorporating exercise into your diet plan if you haven't done so already. you feel really great afterwards and you also get a feeling of achievement. i feel great knowing that i've burnt around 700-800 calories today already and the same amount yesterday. plus, healthy eating combined with exercise makes you lose the weight faster.

I did my first weigh in today

24/07/06 (start weight) = 119lbs
31/07/06 = 116lbs

Meaning 3lbs lost woohoo

Oh and I thought I should add that I didn't think I would lose anything because I went away for the weekend and was very naughty! Lots of crap food and alcohol...eek! Oh and my period starts this week too so I am very proud to have lost anything

something like that i suppose. google 'convert [number]kg to lbs' for conversion.

my scale wont do imperial so theres not much point putting it up in lbs.
