i agree that it's such a letdown to see how hard it is to lose weight being all nitpicky with measurements, types of foods, fat content, exercising like mad etc, losing a pound here, 1/2 a pound there, and then a single week or two of eating like a normal person turns into +3 to 6 lbs each and every time. so unfair.

To be fair on my horrid evil body, those couple of weeks were a step or ten beyond 'normal' for me... fried breakfast every morning, two courses for pretty much all of the other meals plus tons of snacks all the time because somehow I even found the room for those. And a not inconsiderable quantity of booze every day. So it's not really the truest injustice. I know what you mean though, I notice sometimes when you're trying hard, all it takes is taking your eye off the ball for like ten seconds and you've undone three weeks of hard work.

I do ok with maintaining my weight during proper normal eating although I know I'd defo gain if I wasn't getting any exercise, probably just on alcohol alone, and I'm not even a particularly heavy drinker these days.

Today:

2 poached eggs on 2 slices wholemeal toast

Salad w/ chicken and lemon pepper dressing
Yogurt

Beef casserole w/ broccoli, cauliflower & mashed potatoes
Yogurt

1 vodka w/ diet coke. so far.

i need to start using myfitnesspal again

today:
jimmy john's club lulu sandwich
little bag of potato chips
mountain dew
water x 2 cups

ive been trying to break my soda habit this week and havent had any since saturday or so. well, this morning i caved and drank the mountain dew. worst decision of the day. the syrup immediately destroyed my stomach.

this is why i dont want to drink soda anymore.
