Flexible people come in here please

Hello KR!

It's a bit late but the other day i realized what one of my new year resolutions should be:

be able to do this by the end of the year. I would pretty much just stay in this position all day if i could. I think it's so impressive.

Ok, so, right now my back is like a stiff board. I need you to help me.
Don't tell me to go to YOGA classes-I am a busy person with better things to spend my money on.
I don't know how to stretch my back like that. Do you?

that looks terrible. you don't want to do that.

floor stretching exercises are the best. sit with your legs in a v, and lean forward. work on not only widening this v shape, but stretching out in front of you, flattening your back, and getting lower.

you will need to take your time with this (ie: days and days), and start slowly, or your muscles will scream in pain the whole time afterwards.

thankyouamericanjazzballet.

I thought that looked really extra bendy when I saw that, she probably does yoga or gymnastics when she was a kid or something. I think you can improve your flexibility by stretching everyday but I think you would really need to go at it to get that good.
On an aside my flatmate can barely touch her knees, which I find really weird. She doesn't have a bone/muscle problem before anyone says that.

Do you really not like it? I love it so much.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIPS! I'm going to start right now

*edit* I am actually rubbish and can't get my back stretched? I can stretch my legs and bend down and touch the floor and stuf but my back just wont budge. I feel like i need someone to really push me..i can't even do it myself!

I'm more flexible than average, but there is no way I can do that. Her back muscles must be loose as all hell.
