I like mash potato when I get sad.

I'm not a rock bun fan, probably because my failed scones usually turned out like rock buns. This thread makes me want to do some baking, I never cook when I feel bad just eat lots of chocolate.

They are ugly but tasty:

Ingredients
200g (8 oz) Self Raising Flour
100g (4 oz) Margarine
100g (4 oz) Sugar
100g (4 oz) Currants
Heavy sprinkling of nutmeg
1 Egg
Milk as required

Method
(1) Mix flour with a pinch of salt and rub in the margarine until it resembles bread crumbs

(2) Stir in the sugar and currants.

(3) Mix to a stiff dough with the egg and milk.

(4) Place in rough heaps on a greased baking tray.

(5) Bake in the oven at 200°C, 400°F or Gas Mark 6, for 15-20 minutes.

those are evil but sound amazing. when i bake a treat next, i think ill bake these. i am still trying my best to avoid white flour/white sugar. i slip mostly at work or when my period is about to start.

I have tried completely cutting out sugar for lent. I have my period at the moment and last night I dreamt about making cheesecake. Then I woke up with a cheesecake recipe in my head. It's hard.
