Stove Top Cooking & Recipes?

so only recently have i started attempting to cook. my oven doesnt work so im restricted to stove top or microwave cooking. i have made mashed potatoes, steak, (not very well), grilled cheese, fried pb & j, and hash browns (all those pretty well). i'm pretty horrible at cooking but i was wondering if anyone had any good recipes for something that can be cooked on stove tops that is very tasty and not too difficult to make. i really like sweet stuff, and not so much veggies, so if you have any delicious recipes, please do tell!

stove top in a skillet

i really like spinach. baby spinach leaves with 1-1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil, a sprinkle of garlic.
veggies, i know, but it's so good.

my daughter and i are vegetarian, the guy isn't.
so, i make/cook him organic chicken breast the same way i make the spinach.

eggs/omelettes
yesterday i made a 2 egg omelette with a tomato (diced) and feta cheese
it rocked

That's the whole trouble. You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "Fuck you" right under your nose.” - J. D. Salinger

the ultimate stove top meal: the stirfry. Cook in the wok/frying pan noodles+chicken, beef, pork+your choice of sauce and vegetables if you like. Just cook the meat, throw the rest in, follow the instructions on the packets et voila.

Soup is also a really good thing to learn because it's really a case of throwing everything in a pot and leaving it. Homemade soup always tastes 100% better than supermarket stuff.

As for sweet things: pancakes! They can be tricky to get right but it's fun and you're only wasting flour, milk and egg so no big deal. I think the secret is getting the pan really hot, using only a light coating of oil and then pouring the mixture in thinly all over the pan, crepe style. Then once you've flipped it, cover it in Nutella, lemon and sugar, jam etc. Yum.
