but i came into possession of some "BANGERS" and i have no clue how to prepare them
i have been drinking tea instead of coffee lately (see other thread)
and i only watch british tv now. with the exception of jon & kate plus 8, which , let's admit, is universal
anyway.

| | | just stick them in the oven or under a grill, turning them occassionally
the most excellent thing to eat them with would be champ, which is basically irish mash - make mash with lots of salt & pepper, milk, butter and scallions (spring onions) |

| | | I remember when this US band came to my house for a bbq, we were in the supermarket and they were all giggling going "where are the hotdogs/weenies" and we were all "why do you want hotdogs at a bbq? use sausages" and then they wanted cream for their coffee... etc.. etc. Wtf is a weenie?
So we cooked onions and sausages on the bbq and they loved it. |

| | | yeah no. we dont really so savory sausages in america.
usually only italian or polish restaurants or dishes have them.
or chorizo in spanish places? i dont know if that even counts.
i was always fascinated by most stories where children in sausages, and british disney movies (marry poppins, alice in wonderland, bedknobs and broomsticks) where the little english kids got to eat "bangers and mash" and i thought that was fancy. or they're always in fairy tales and children's rhymes.
then i tried one of them, and wanted to barf. so, now the illusion is gone.
americans only eat sweet breakfast sausages, like maple syrup ones. |
