i'm gonna suff some squash blossoms with a little goat cheese and fry them up tempura style tonite, tonite. i thought you all should know. also, costco had some nice prawns. isn't that great!

what exactly is a prawn? is it like a crawfish? people make a big fuss about them.

My buddy Martin was chinese and father owned a chinese take -away - we'd spend our mornings before going to town doing chores around the shop - one of which was de-shelling king prawns...memories!

I've lived in modesto county before, but never in the shasta national forest.

model user: a prawn in the u.s., generally speaking, is a large shrimp. in the land of silvine, generally speaking, a prawn is all shrimp. officially and scientifically speaking, they are two separate species of almost the same thing. but not quite.

i have photos of them and the goat cheese with squash blossoms but i won't share them because my editing software has disappeared. and i don't feel you are all prepared to deal with them at their current scale. but they tasted right.

i am to hummus what dottie is to baking.

pour all of the following into a food processor bought at a second hand thrift store:

a can of drained chick peas aka garbanzos.
a peeled garlic glove or two
handfull of parsley
a generous blob of tahini aka sesame paste/butter
a generous pour of olive oil
a generous pour of lemon juice
a drained jar of roasted red peppers from dollar tree
salt and pepper
generous sprinklings of the chili lime fruit seasoning from the mexican market. orjust plain old cayenne if you don't go there.

pulse until you are dizzy with consistency perfection. if it's too thick and blobby, add some garbanzo or red pepper liquid.
after it sits overnite, eat with grilled or baked pita, and assorted crudites.

this concoction along with guacamole has made me famous. famous.
